Mike was born on Jan. 25th, 1981, and from the very beginning the devil has tried to kill Mike, with every thing from Brain Cancer to Spinal Meningitis, from a Skull Fracture to Blindness. The Devil tried again and again, but God had a mission for Mike. From the age of 4, Mike knew he was called to be a Pastor in the city of Kyoto Japan, and after Mike met Jesus Christ at the age of 17 he became fully committed to spending his life in Service to Christ. In 2008 God led Mike and his family to Japan, and then in 2014 God led Mike and his family along with his team members to the beautiful city of Kyoto, Japan, where they are in the process of establishing a Church with the vision of bringing the love and hope of Christ to the wonderful nation of Japan, and doing so by introducing people in an intimate way with the risen Lord, Jesus Christ. Mike realizes that he is living on borrowed time, and wants to make the most of every opportunity! Mike strives to live his life by the famous words of Missionary William Carey, Attempt Great Things for God; Expect Great Things from God!

Family: Brenda (Wife), Alanna, one on the way!

John is tall dark and handsome, but otherwise intensely boring. He graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2004, before attending seminary at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. John graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisville in 2013. In 2007 John met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and married her a year later. For fun John likes to move heavy objects around the gym and draw pictures in the margins of library books. John is excited about the plan that God has for Liberty Church in Kyoto, Japan. I was born and raised in the beautiful country of Northern Ireland and have probably the best family in the world! In Northern Ireland however, there has always been tension between the so-called Protestant and Catholic communities and unfortunately this clouds most people’s understanding of God. It was not until later on that I discovered the brilliant truth about a God whose love for us is unending and all conquering. I was blown away by the Gospel and have never looked back!
After meeting and getting married to Maiko at university we moved to her native Osaka where we were involved in planting two churches and predominantly working with children and young people. Now, after 9 years in Japan we are in Kyoto and are delighted to be part of the Liberty Church Kyoto team. We are excited to see the plans God has for this City become a reality!
